GET TO KNOW ME
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker #81889 and have been providing therapy for over 5 years in English and Arabic. I completed my BS in Sociology, with a minor in women’s studies from the University of California, Riverside when I knew I had to do more than just study how certain events in today’s culture carries an affect on the people experiencing them. I then went on to earn my Master of Social Work and Master of Criminal Justice degrees from Loma Linda University, School of Behavioral Health. While working on both master degrees, I was able to begin providing therapy in an individual, a well as a group setting.

I have worked with adolescents and adults with different disorders and behaviors, including: anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, self-injury, chronic suicidal ideation, personality disorders and chronic incarceration. As a therapist who is trained in working in a forensic correctional setting, working in a variety of county forensic detention centers and psychiatric hospitals, I have also worked with those with extensive, trauma related history. Within such settings, I have also worked with first responders, such as law enforcement personnel, firefighters, EMT, military personnel and nurses.

Aside from working in trauma-related settings, I have also worked with pre-marital therapy and partner/couples therapy with issues ranging from communication, absent partner conflicts and difference of parenting styles.
Another population I have closely worked with include college-aged young adults who have struggled with the adjustment of becoming first-generational college students.

My therapy style includes solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
